Beginning Crochet - Make a Granny Square! August 14, 5:30-8pm

Join Laila and Kate of Knit & Gather to learn a selection of basic crochet stitches and how to complete a simple Granny Square. 

If time allows, students will learn one way to join squares together to make a variety of projects! You will be providing your own materials; please plan to bring a size 8/H 5 mm crochet hook and three colors of worsted (medium) weight yarn to work with.

Instructor bio: Kate and Laila are knitters with a love of whimsy. That's why they started Knit & Gather to teach others the craft they love. They have both been knitting for over twenty years and love to experiment with different mediums. Coming from Norwegian cultural backgrounds, it is folk art and craft that connects them with their heritage! Together they design patterns and have partnered to teach fiber arts. Their goal is to share knowledge, connect with others, and offer high quality patterns, tools, and more. Follow along and take a class with them!
