Confident Beginner: Archer Work Pants, January 17 & 18

This class will run Saturday, January 17 & Sunday, January 18, from 11am-5pm each day (or earlier if finished).

THE CLASS

The Archer Work Pants are designed to be an easy fitting barrel shaped pants with simple details like oversized askew front pockets and contrasting inseam panel. There are knee darts on both the front and back legs as well as a back ankle dart giving these pants their distinctive shape. These elastic waist pants are intended to sit at the natural waist with a relaxed fit in the hip and looser through the legs. The length hits above the ankle to further highlight its silhouette shape. 

You'll leave with a finished pair of pants, a ton of new skills, and the confidence to start working on your next project.

We will be sewing on both a sewing machine and a serger. You will learn techniques for sewing on both machines.

This pattern is size-inclusive and is designed to fit waist measurements between 24" & 57" and hip measurements between 34" & 67".

SKILL LEVEL

This class is intended for Confident Beginners - you should know how to thread a sewing machine, wind the bobbin, and do basic stitching. It's ok if you haven't sewn a garment or used a sewing pattern or serger before!

If you want to take this class but you don't have these skills yet, you can sign up for one of our Absolute Beginner classes to learn the basics!

✿ Hemming
✿ Sewing patch pockets

WHAT'S INCLUDED
The Archer Work Pants sewing pattern is included in the cost of the class and will be printed for you when you arrive. You'll also receive a digital file (and instructions) so you can re-use the pattern as many times as you want in the future.

You will need to purchase fabric and notions in the shop before the class (and you should leave time to pre-wash your fabric). Come by and we'll help you pick out something suitable that matches your style!

If you have your own sewing machine and want to use it, feel free to bring it with you (just make sure you have all the components including bobbins, foot pedal, etc). If you prefer, you can use one of our studio machines. We will also provide sergers.

This class will be taught by Taylor.
