About Us
We are a small indie fabric store on the border of Minneapolis and St. Louis Park, Minnesota. We love sourcing special fabrics, teaching people to sew their own clothes, and building community.
Our shop is a cozy, welcoming space where you'll feel comfortable asking questions and meeting new friends. We offer in-store and online shopping, A0 PDF pattern printing, private sewing lessons, classes, and community sewing nights.

Who runs Open Studio?
Hi! 👋🏼 I'm Madee, owner of Open Studio Sewing, and a lifelong sewist who has always loved wearing something unique. :) I'm here to offer guidance and encouragement as you sew your first ever garment or level up your skills.
I studied Apparel Technologies at Minneapolis College and have been teaching sewing since 2023. I'm obsessed with cutesy prints, keeping up to date on all the newest sewing patterns, and wandering around town enjoying patio season. If you have any questions about our shop or need sewing recommendations, let me know (I love to gab).

Open Studio Sewing is located at 4210 Minnetonka Boulevard in St. Louis Park, MN. There's a large parking lot adjacent to our building, with two handicap accessible parking spots directly in front of our shop. You can use Google Maps to find us!
