This class will run Saturday, October 18, from 11am-6pm (or earlier if finished).
Though the class officially ends at 6pm Saturday, if you need extra time to finish you will have the option to return to the shop on Sunday afternoon (between 2 and 4pm) to finish your project with guided support (because we all sew at different paces!).
THE CLASS
The Honeygirl Tee is a comfortable, fitted t-shirt designed specifically for cotton pointelles, and inspired by the shrunken tees of the 90’s.
In this class, you will have the option to mix and match your neckline (scoop or crew neck), length (cropped or hip-length) and sleeves (short or long sleeves) to create the variation that best matches your style.
We will be sewing on both a sewing machine and a serger. You will learn techniques for sewing knit fabrics on both machines.
You'll leave with a finished tee, a ton of new skills, and the confidence to start working on your next project.
This pattern is size-inclusive and is designed to fit chest measurements up to 62".
SKILL LEVEL
This class is intended for Confident Beginners - you should know how to thread a sewing machine, wind the bobbin, and do basic stitching. It's ok if you haven't sewn a garment or used a sewing pattern or serger before!
If you want to take this class but you don't have these skills yet, you can sign up for our Learn to Sew Series. If you do, you'll have sewing machine basics down and be ready for this class by the class date.

✿ How to sew knits on your home sewing machine
✿ Precise stitch lengths and widths to use for sewing knitwear

WHAT'S INCLUDED
All materials (fabric, notions, and sewing pattern) are included in the cost of this class. We will reach out to you before the class to determine your preferred size and pattern elements.
The sewing pattern will be printed for you when you arrive. You'll also receive a digital file so you can re-use the pattern in the future.
If you have your own sewing machine and want to use it, feel free to bring it with you (just make sure you have all the components including bobbins, foot pedal, etc). If you prefer, you can use one of our studio machines. We will also provide sergers.
This class will be taught by Madee.
