Customize your Denim! November 19, 6-9pm

This class will run Wednesday, November 19, from 6-9pm. 

THE CLASS

Bring new life to your old denim! In this hands-on, creative workshop (taught by Nina of @ninadaniart & @innerbloom_aura fame!), you’ll turn a pair of jeans, a denim jacket, or a denim shirt into a one-of-a-kind wearable art piece. With fabric paint, silk ribbons, rhinestones, scrap fabric, and other embellishments, you’ll experiment with ways to patch, paint, bedazzle, and personalize your denim so it reflects your unique style. Each person will leave with a reimagined piece of denim! You may also feel so inspired, you’ll want to continue experimenting with upcycling and personalizing clothing at home!

SKILL LEVEL

This workshop is beginner-friendly! No prior sewing, painting, or crafting experience needed. Skills like hand-stitching, painting, or design experience are great, but not required.

WHAT TO EXPECT

✿ A fun, collaborative studio environment full of inspiration and creative play
✿ Access to provided supplies: fabric paint, rhinestones, silk ribbons, and scrap
fabrics for patching or embellishment
✿ Time to design, experiment, and create!
✿ Guidance on techniques for patching, painting, and embellishing
✿ Freedom to bring and incorporate your own scrap fabrics, lace, ribbons, or
anything that you’d like to cut up and incorporate into your reworked denim
design!
✿ How to combine textures, fabrics, and materials for a personalized look.
